Welcome to the Florida Bicycling & Micromobility Newsletter

Stay up to date on news and changes in the law regarding bicyclists, pedestrians, transit, and other micromobility options in the Sunshine State. This newsletter will also carry some of my own thoughts and articles I find interesting regarding micromobility, transit, and urbanism not just from Florida but also across the country and world.

What is Micromobility?

Micromobility has been around for around 200 years, but the term itself was first used in this way in 2017. Micromobility refers to the range of vehicles that are typically small and lightweight, human or electric-powered, travelling below 20mph, and operated by a single user. Early (and continued examples) include bicycles and scooters, but now include electric or e-scooters, electric or e-bikes, shared bicycles, cargo bikes, and even electric skateboards.
